John Vsetecka is Assistant Professor of History at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is a scholar of famine, mass violence, and transitional justice in eastern Europe, especially Ukraine. He is the co-editor (with Daria Mattingly) of the recently published volume, The Holodomor in Global Perspective: How the Famine in Ukraine Shaped the World. In addition to his scholarly work, John serves as the current Vice President of the American Association of Ukrainian Studies and the founder of H-Ukraine.
